Services

Industry studies show that for every $1 spent on chemicals a company will spend $1 to $3 on handling the chemicals. A savings of 5 - 20% can be recognized by consolidating supply chain activities, services and providers. (Source: Chemical Strategies Partnership, Industry Report)

Chemical Lifecycle Management (CLM) is a unique business model that provides an integrated, cradle-to-grave supply chain management solution and single point-of-contact for raw material users. CLM specializes in a reduction in supply chain cost, improved product visibility and reduced complexities and inefficiencies.

CLM maintains a "neutral" position because we do not sell raw materials. Our incentives are aligned with our customers to reduce the amount of raw materials and waste, lower costs and liability of using such raw materials. This neutral position allows manufacturers or distributors who compete or who may have proprietary formulations to feel comfortable consolidating their raw materials into one location near the customer's manufacturing site.

The CLM supply chain portal provides customers online visibility and tracking of material movement throughout the entire supply chain. Customers also gain access to critical product specific information (product name, lot #, quantity, etc.) through the CLM's online suite of applications.

CLM offers one of the most comprehensive chemical management service models by bringing together all the elements of the entire chemical and waste supply chain. Beyond offering a suite of supply chain services CLM offers improvements in liability protection, risk management and EH&S compliance. The following is a list of services offered by CLM.

CLM integrates the following services to offer one of the most complete supply chain solutions:

Material Procurement & Inspection
CLM leverages the power of technology and ability to place orders on the internet to offer our customer a chemical procurement eCatalog. The CLM eCatalog is a single source to purchase multiple raw materials from multiple suppliers, manufacturers or distributors. No longer do you need to place orders via the phone, email, fax or by accessing multiple vendor websites. The CLM eCatalog allows you to search products from multiple suppliers and create a shopping cart order with multiple supplier products in one order.

Automated replenishment can also be established based on min/max levels or other predetermined indicators. Customers can also view current inventory levels from the Chem-Star® Inventory Management System directly from the CLM eCatalog.

Material Warehousing & Inventory Management
A network of customized, hazmat compliant warehouses are strategically located near our customer’s facilities and offer the expertise of handling over 750 million pounds of hazardous raw materials and waste each year. Customers gain real-time visibility of the materials via the web-enabled Chem-Star® Inventory Management System. Chem-Star® allows customers and suppliers to track material inventories for min/max replenishment and run multiple reports from their desktops.

These facilities follow the strictest of regulatory standards and guidelines to ensure a safe environment and to meet our customers demand for the highest quality and/or integrity of their products. Most of the warehouses are ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 (newer facilities may be in the process of ISO certification).
